Turkish Jazz Standards Institute is a music television program that brings the story of jazz in Turkey to the screen through intimate conversations, live performances, and personal narratives. Produced by me for Saudade Film Production, the series builds each episode around a guest artist’s individual journey, tracing it in parallel with the historical development of Turkish jazz.Rather than offering only portraits of musicians, the program also reveals how jazz in Turkey has evolved across generations, shaped by distinct voices, experiences, and musical legacies. Each episode creates a living connection between the personal memory of the featured artist and the collective history of Turkish jazz.Featuring prominent names such as Ferit Odman, Cenk Erdoğan, Tuluğ Tırpan, Volkan Topakoğlu, Barış Doğukan Yazıcı, Anıl Şallıel, Can Çankaya, Baki Duyarlar, Yavuz Akyazıcı, Şenay Lambaoğlu, Ceyda Pirali, Önder Focan, Evrim Demirel, İlham Gencer, Sevinç Yurdem, Batu Şallıel, Burçin Büke, Emre Karabulut, İpek Dinç, Bulut Gülen, Kaan Bıyıkoğlu, Neşet Ruacan, Erdem Özkan, Turgut Alp Bekoğlu, Yahya Dai, and Kamil Özler, the program brings together the historical layers of jazz with the energy of live performance and the intimacy of conversation.Produced by me for Saudade Film Production, with project development by Emir Külal Haznevi, Turkish Jazz Standards Institute offers a distinctive screen narrative that connects the personal journey of each artist with the collective story of jazz in Turkey.
